Nintendo Wii Fit

Wow! Nintendo comes out with Wii Fit after there first launched Wii in 2 years ago. I tried the 1st generation Wii before, there have sports like boxing, bowling, golf, tennis and play satation games like Legend of Zelda games. It gave us a lot of fun. However, I think Wii Fit is more interesting with exercise games that may benefits for your heart and the potential to lose weight. There have Wii balance board, We Ski, which gives the player a more ski-like experience. There are recently launching in New York. I think there need some time to launch in Malaysia.

Myanmar, please Rescue yourself !

It's so frustrated to read this news! I feel very sorry to those victims! Myanmar government announced 3-day mourning period for 78,000 cyclone victims began on today. However, those survivors from the cyclone are threatened in starvation and without any medical help nor food supplies!

' United Nations said only 20 percent of the survivors had received some form of international assistance. '

The government still banned outside help! Most of the foreign aid workers are banned to the storm devastated area! Can you imagine how long those victims have been surfer in paint and starving!?! Can you imagine that how many life have been killed not because of the storm but without immediate relief operations by government ! Everyone is trying hard to make donation and rescue the victim but it just hopeless response from the authorized party!

Those army handover food aid to the victim that we see on TV is just like acting movie. Victims queue up one by one to received the aid! You won't see those people crying, you won't see any injury or complaining of cause there are no appreciation as well... Should this consider as an abnormal reactions for people who just discovered a storm disaster? Most of them lost their family, most of them are injured, the storm devastated area surrounded with dead bodies... they need specialist aid workers to help in disaster recovery! They need it , but they are not allowed to have it ! GOSH! The Myanmar government is just letting most of their people dead in hunger! I can feel it, i can feel people dead in silent!

—- DONATION WEBSITES —-

——————– INTERNATIONAL ——————–
To donate directly to a Chinese Non-profit, a good choice is Jet Li’s One Foundation. Jet Li is an ambassador for the Red Cross Society of China. His fund, as of 4/15/2008, has raised RMB 10,677,267 ($6,590/RMB 46,130 from Paypal donations) http://www.one-foundation.com/html/cn/beneficence_01.htm

Click on the “paypal” button The site is in Chinese only, but I have read it. One key point to know about your donation there: 1. The FULL amount of your donation will be transferred to the Red Cross Society of China. The website provides full transparency on how its funds are distributed. http://www.one-foundation.com/html/02/n-102.html

I Googled the foundation and found quite a bit of press coverage, so I felt comfortable posting it as a donation destination.

—— U.S. ——

FINALLY! You can now donate directly to the American Red Cross China Relief fund. The link is provided below, before you donate, please read the paragraphs regarding fund use: https://american.redcross.org/site/Donation2?idb=252516977&df_id=3198&3198.donation=form1

Additional information regarding relief efforts by the American Red Cross is provided here
http://www.redcross.org/news/in/profiles/Intl_profile_ChinaEarthquake.html
A recent post in this group mentions the possibility that donations to the American Red Cross does not fully transfer over to the Red Cross Society of China. I am attempting to reach the local director of the Red Cross in my area for a clarification on the exact use of fund for everyone, but probably won’t get an answer until tomorrow afternoon. If anyone has any clarification on the matter please let everyone know ASAP. All this being said, ARC does have a four star rating from Charity

Navigator for its effective use of donations. http://www.charitynavigator.org/index.cfm/bay/content.view/catid/2/cpid/43.htm And your donation will be used specifically for the Chinese Relief effort. However, your donation maybe be put to best use by directly wiring money to the Red Cross Society of China (listed in the CHINA section) or through Jet Li’s One Foundation (listed in the INTERNATIONAL section) rather than the American Red Cross. More updates to come.

The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian

Narnia in cinemas today! I watched The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe in last summer. Max lent me this DVD, I can't stop loving the youngest kids in that movie, Lucy who's discovered a wardrobe link to the magic world.

Trailer and synopsis showed that The Chronicles Of Narnia : Prince Caspian has lots of battle. I wish could watch the latest Narnia in cinema, not because of i like battle but the scene on shows. Filming began in Aukland and the screenshot across countries including Prague, Slovenia and Poland.

Death toll in China quake

The official Xinhua News Agency said the death toll exceeded 12,000 in Sichuan province alone, and 18,645 were still buried in debris in the city of Mianyang, near the epicenter of Monday's massive, 7.9-magnitude quake.

The Sichuan Daily newspaper reported on its Web site that more than 26,000 people were injured in Mianyang.

The numbers of casualties was expected to rise due to the remoteness of the areas affected by the quake and difficulty in finding buried victims.

There was little prospect that many survivors would be found under the rubble. Only 58 people were extricated from demolished buildings across the quake area so far, China Seismological Bureau spokesman Zhang Hongwei told Xinhua. In one county, 80 percent of the buildings were destroyed. ...more

left: school bag& the small hand right: The hands of dead students are seen among the rubble of a collapsed school in Dujiangyan

So sad to watch news. Heart bleeding when looking at pictures showed buried victims. There are dozens of bodies were placed under a tarp canopy and wrapped in sheets or blankets and their relatives are crying around the body... The worst thing happening in the afternoon while teens studying at school. School building collapsed, just in a sudden! Child & teenagers was killed... Why all this things happened? It just happened ! Feel sympathies by watching at the death toll is keep on rising. What's a sad news.

//I have deleted all death person's photos in order to maintain the final dignity for those victim.

When I turn old 当我老了

There have this printed gift given by a publisher which i went interview before. It stated this poem "When I Turn Old" on the poster. I am so impressed when reading it. Suddenly, one chinese famous phrase came across my mind "子欲养而亲不在" . Thinking of daddy... Although dad is not around, I know i am consider lucky, at least, i can spend a little patient and listen to my mom now. Would like to take this opportunity to say 'Happy Mothers Day ' to all Mothers around the world! Especially, my mom! Thanks her because of giving me everything! There is no me without you (mom) ! Love U !

When I turn old, when I am not the original me.
Please understand me and have patience with me.

When I drip gravy all over my clothes. When I forget to tie my shoelace.
Please remember how I taught you what not to do,and how to do many things by hand.

When I repeatedly tell you things that you're tired of hearing.
Pls be patient and listen to me.Pls don't interrupt me.When you were young,I told you the same story over and over again until you were sound asleep.

When I need you to help me bathe.
Pls don't scold me.Do you still reember how when you were small I had to coax you to take a bath?

When I don't understand new technology.
Pls don't laugh at me or mock me.Pls think how I used to be so patient with you to answer your every"Why."

When my two legs are tired and I cannot walk anymore.
Pls stretch out your powerful hands to lend me a hand, just like when you were a baby learning to walk I held both your hands.

When I suddenly forget what subject we are discussing.
Pls give me a little time to recollect.Actually,it does not matter what we are talking about;as long as you are by my side,I am so contented and happy already.

When you see the old me,pls don't be sad.
Pls understand me and support me,just like how I was with you when you were young and were just learning to face life.At the beginning,I guided you to the path of life. Now I ask you to keep me company to finish this last leg of my life.Give me your love and patience.I will give you a grateful smile and crystallized in this smile is my endless love for you.

----The Poem is originated from the November 2004 issue of Digital Family of Mexico

MAS Aircraft Packages Spark Security Alert At Perth Airport

MELBOURNE, May 4 (Bernama) -- Several suspicious cardboxes found on a Malaysia Airlines (MAS) aircraft when it landed at the Perth International Airport Saturday night forced the evacuation of thousands of passengers and staff.

The terminal was shut down for almost 12 hours from 6pm Saturday after baggage handlers noticed the packages on the incoming MAS flight MH125 from Kuala Lumpur, the Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported.

The packages, believe to contain artificial flowers, were eventually x-rayed by the bomb squad and found to contain nothing dangerous, but not before eight international flights were either cancelled, diverted or delayed.

Perth Airport chief executive Brad Geatches told AAP it took about 20 minutes to evacuate about 3,000 passengers and staff to an exclusion zone 2km from the airport buildings.

Police also had to hold back thousands more people arriving at the airport to board flights or collect friends and loved ones.

Assistant commissioner of counter-terrorism and state protection John McRoberts said today it was one of the biggest security operations at Perth Airport involving about 100 officers.

"It's certainly the most significant event I know at the Perth Airport," he was quoted by AAP as saying.

"It was a major operation, it was an operation that caused ... considerable inconvenience to the travelling public, to the staff at the airport, to government agencies that responded, and that's regrettable.

"But I think people ought to take some comfort in the fact that the safety of everybody was of paramount concern to us," he said.

McRoberts would not explain what alerted police to the unaccompanied freight, but said they were part of a consignment destined for someone in Perth. That person was spoken to by police last night and the story checked out with what police found when the boxes were x-rayed at a safe site on the airport grounds.

Police refused to say what was in the packages, fearing copycat events.

The airport was evacuated one hour after the packages were identified, but due to unexplained delays in the operations, it took another nine hours before they were x-rayed.

Perth International Airport was reopened at 5.30am local time, with possible delays expected over the next two days.

Meanwhile in KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia Airlines Cargo Sdn Bhd (MASkargo) in a statement Sunday said the cargo consignment on flight MH125/3 May 2008 to Perth had fully undergone all stringent regulatory and safety requirements of IATA, US Customs, US Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Malaysian Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) and other relevant authorities.

The shipment was thoroughly examined and put through the x-ray screening machine, where no suspicious contents were detected, and placed in the secure part of the warehouse for 24 hours before it was flown to Perth.

"We do not take safety and security lightly at MASkargo. Our standard of operations clearly emphasises strict adherence to rules and regulations imposed by all relevant authorities and we observe these requirements without fail at all times," MASkargo managing director Shahari Sulaiman said in the statement.

Blogging
